Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Chandler Laurent played in the minor leagues from 2009 to 2013.

He was taken by the Colorado Rockies in the 21st round of the 2009 amateur draft. The scout was Damon Iannelli. He began his career with a .292/.341/.450 slash line for the Casper Ghosts and followed that by hitting 11 home runs and stealing 16 bases for the Tri-City Dust Devils and Modesto Nuts in 2010. For the Asheville Tourists in 2011, he hit .284/.356/.521 with 15 home runs and 17 stolen bases. After a down year in 2012, he joined the independent ranks for 2013 to wrap up his career.

Overall, he batted .255/.319/.443 with 31 home runs and 50 stolen bases in 273 games.

He died in an automobile accident at the age of 26.
