Biographical Information[edit]

Chance Sharp was 1-11 with a 6.25 ERA in 72 innings for Salem University in 2014. Nevertheless, he earned the opportunity to pitch professionally, making 4 relief appearances and posting a 2.70 ERA in 3 1/3 innings for the High Desert Yardbirds of the Pecos League in 2017. He was also the club's pitching coach that year, and took over the managerial duties partway through the season in replacement of Jack Humphrey.

In 2015, Sharp was the pitching coach for the Springfield Sliders and for two seasons, he was pitching coach at Kofa High School. In 2018, he was head coach for the California Grizzly of the Palm Springs Collegiate League. He has also spent a year as pitching coach at Carolina University and 2020-2022 as pitching coach at Benedictine University at Mesa. He was named head coach at Highland Community College (IL) for 2023.
