Biographical Information[edit]
Norman (Chalky) White was an Australian player from 1944-1956, spending most of his career with Adelaide. The Boston Red Sox offered him a contract in 1953, but he turned it down due to family reasons (he had two young kids). He also coached youth baseball. He represented Australia in the 1956 Olympics. In 2011, he was inducted into the Baseball Australia Hall of Fame as the 1947-1967 representative.
