Cecil Darby is a long time sportswriter and editor for the Columbus (GA) Ledger-Enquirer. Darby started his career in baseball working with the teams in Columbus as a bus driver and clubhouse attendant. He has become a respected historian for the South Atlantic League and Southeastern baseball in general. In 1995 Darby was elected to the South Atlantic League Hall of Fame.
