Biographical Information

Cecil Butler had what might have been the best fastball in the Milwaukee Braves organization when he made the team's Opening Day roster in 1962. He promptly injured his elbow and never really recovered, cutting short a career that had genuine promise. After another brief appearance in 1964, he ended his career with 11 appearances, 35 1/3 innings and a 2-0 record.
