Doubleday and Grimes were born 50 years apart. Did they really serve in the same war?
Indian Wars usually refers to any and all conflicts between the United States military and Native Americans. Doubleday served in the Seminole War (Creek/Seminole; ~1819), and Grimes was likely part of the Army in the waning years of the Pine Ridge campaign (Sioux; ~1890). Maybe a short description of each war (with years, major combatants, general locations, etc.) could be added to the top of each Veterans category page. --MichaelEng 01:25, 21 Mar 2006 (EST)
