Biographical Information[edit]

Casey Dykes played college ball at Western Kentucky University and graduated in 2012 with a degree in sport management. He later earned a master's degree in athletic administration while also beginning his coaching career.

Dykes spent the 2013 season at Western Kentucky as a graduate assistant coach. He moved up to a volunteer assistant coaching position the following year. Early in 2015, Dykes became an assistant coach at the Virginia Military Institute and coached the Keydets from 2015-2018. From there Dykes took a volunteer assistant coaching position at Indiana University where he helped the Hoosiers win the Big Ten Conference championship.

The New York Yankees hired Dykes in the fall of 2019 to be a hitting coach in their minor league system. He was scheduled to serve as the Charleston RiverDogs hitting coach in 2020 before the coronavirus pandemic shut down the minor league season. Dykes was hitting coach for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders in 2021. In 2022, the Yankees promoted him to the major league staff where he served as an assistant hitting coach. He continued in this role in 2023.
