Carlos James

Carlos James has been a minor league outfielder and college coach.
The Oakland A's took James in the 42nd round of the 1990 amateur draft. He continued on to junior college and played twice in the NJCAA World Series. The A's chose him in the 53rd round of the 1991 amateur draft. He was 7 for 25 with a double and a homer for the 1996 Pine Bluff Locomotives. James was an associate scout for the Seattle Mariners for a point. From 2000-2004, he was assistant coach at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. He was interim head coach at the University of Arkansas-Monticello for the end of 2008 then was their full-time coach in 2009 and 2010 (20-26 the latter year). He then moved to UAPB as head coach, stepping down after 14 years in that role.
