Biographical Information[edit]

Carlos Cardona never played professionally but was with the Venezuelan national team for both the 1984 Amateur World Series and 1986 Amateur World Series. In the former event, he was 1-1 with a 1.15 ERA to lead Venezuela's staff. His peripheral stats were not as good - 11 hits, 8 walks, 3 wild pitches and 7 strikeouts in 15 2/3 IP. He was 5th in the event in ERA behind Dong-ryeul Son, Sheng-Hsiung Chuang, Mark Talarico and Emilio Olivo.
