Biographical information[edit]
Carl Vergamini was the head baseball coach at the University of Wisconsin - Superior from 1957-1963 and from 1976-1978.
He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1940 and earned his master's degree from Iowa in 1958. He participated in football and wrestling for the Hawkeyes.
A World War II veteran, he taught and coached at Hurley (WI) High School for nine years before his 25-year tenure as an instructor and coach at UW-Superior.
