Biographical Information[edit]

Third baseman Carl Fiore played in the minor leagues from 1938 to 1942 and from 1946 to 1947.

He began his career at 18 years old and had a solid three-year stretch from 1939 to 1941. In the first year, he hit .272 with 31 doubles and 145 hits in 137 games for the Tyler Trojans. With the Cedar Rapids Raiders in 1940, he hit .249 with 124 hits in 126 games and in 1941, he hit .323 with 28 doubles, 14 home runs and a .510 slugging percentage in 105 games for the Flint Arrows.

Overall, he hit .261 with 629 hits in 635 games over seven seasons.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
