Camp Verde, AZ

Camp Verde is located in central Arizona, 50 miles north of Phoenix, AZ. In 2005, fan Bill Holden began a journey of 2,100 miles on foot here, to raise awareness about diabetes, inspired by Ron Santo's courageous fight against the disease. The walk ended at Wrigley Field on July 1st, where the 56-year-old Holden threw the ceremonial first pitch, having raised $2,500 during his march.
