The son of Wim Martinus, Calvin Martinus has been an outfielder in the Hoofdklasse. He was 2 for 13 with 6 strikeouts as a 18-year-old rookie for Neptunus in 2006. He was with the Netherlands for the 2006 World Junior Championship. In 2007, he was 2 for 14 with a walk for Sparta/Feyenoord. Back with Neptunus in 2008, Calvin went 2 for 11. Martinus went 0 for 8 with five K in 2009. In the 2009 Holland Series, he was 1 for 2 with a run.
