21-year-old Calvin Felix hit 52 home runs in his rookie professional season in 1947. Playing for the Las Vegas Wranglers in the Sunset League, Felix batted .382/.459/.726 with 52 home runs, 182 RBI, 173 runs, 236 hits, 35 doubles and 19 stolen bases in 610 at-bats. He led the league in homers, hits, runs, RBI and total bases (443), but he didn't manage the Triple Crown -- Paul Zaby led the league with a .401 batting mark.
