Biographical Information[edit]
Right-hander Cal Cooper spent three seasons in professional baseball (1947-1949). He pitched one inning in one game for the Washington Senators on September 14, 1948. He had a minor league record of 20-25 with a 4.32 ERA in 66 games. Cooper served in the United States Navy during World War II and was later personnel director at Clinton Mills and a member of Laurens County School Board for 28 years. He had been in declining health a number of weeks when he died on July 4, 1994 in Clinton, SC.
