Biographical Information[edit]

Calín Rosales hit .231 for the Nicaraguan national team in the 1965 Amateur World Series, .281 in the 1969 Amateur World Series and .120 in the 1970 Amateur World Series. He rebounded with 17 hits in the 1972 Amateur World Series while showcasing his arm in right field as his team won Bronze. He batted .300 when they won Silver in the 1973 FIBA Amateur World Series. [1] He hit .271/.358/.400 in Nicaragua from 1970-1980. [2] He led that loop with 17 doubles in 1971 and tied Pedro Selva for the lead with 19 in '73. [3]
