Biographical Information[edit]

Byung-oh Noh joined the Samsung Lions after high school. He had a good debut, going 3-0 with a 3.78 ERA in 18 games in 2002, but he fell to 0-1, 6.52 in 9 games in 2003. He moved to the Hyundai Unicorns in 2004 and gave up 21 hits, 9 walks and 15 runs in 13 1/3 IP. He did not pitch in 2005 then tossed one shutout inning in 2006. In 2007, he had a 1-1, 8.44 record in 11 games for Hyundai.

While completing his military service, Noh was with South Korea for the 2009 Baseball World Cup. He faced five batters and gave up 3 hits, a walk, a wild pitch and a homer (by Tim Smith). The only batter he got an "out" for was Brett Lawrie, who reached on an error. Noh was charged with five runs but only one was earned.
