Biographical Information

Byron Gettis was signed by the Kansas City Royals and scout Craig Struss as an undrafted free agent in June 1998. He made his pro debut that summer with the GCL Royals.

Gettis appeared in the major leagues with the Royals for 21 games in 2004, and was in the minors from 1998-2005. A highlight was in 2003 when he hit .302 with 103 RBI for the Wichita Wranglers.
