Biographical Information

Outfielder Buster Kinard played more than a decade in the minors and also was the manager of several clubs. He began his career in 1936 and while playing for the Ft. Lauderdale Tarpons in 1941 hit .366 and led the Florida East Coast League with 210 hits and 123 RBIs. A decade later, playing for the Suffolk Goobers, he paced the Virginia League with a .378 average.
