Biographical Information[edit]
Frank "Buster" Burrell played four seasons in the big leagues, primarily with the Brooklyn Bridegrooms. His best year was 1896, when he hit .301 and caught 60 games. For a while, he the oldest living major leaguer. Born in 1866, five years before the first professional league was formed, he lived until 1962, one year before Pete Rose broke into the majors.
Buster also had a long minor league career, mostly in the New England League.
