Biographical Information[edit]
Bus Saidt was a long-time sportswriter.
Saidt was an accountant for his hometown of Trenton and a stringer for the Trenton Times prior to World War II. In the military, he served as the announcer for the North African GI League. He was hired by WBUD in Trenton after the War and was their sports director from 1946-1969, covering the Trenton Giants. He had hoped to move up to the majors as an announcer but missed a few breaks. He then returned to the Trenton Times as a sportswriter beginning in 1967. He and Leonard Koppett shared the J.G. Taylor Spink Award in 1992.
