Biographical Information

Catcher Bus Payton played in the minor leagues from 1934 to 1941. He was an All-Star for the Des Moines Demons in 1937, hitting .276 in 55 games. He was not a strong hitter, never batting better than .300 in a season. His career-high in hits was 105, per records available. He never hit more than two home runs in a season and finished with five for his career.
