Burrell's Bunch
Burrell's Bunch was a fan group of the Philadelphia Phillies at Veterans Stadium during the 2002 and 2003 seasons. As Phillies broadcaster Larry Andersen used to say "That bunch isn't much of a bunch." This was said because Burrell's Bunch consisted of a father and his two sons. During their two year existence they appeared at around 80 games. They appeared on TV during numerous Phillies games, local news stations, and their biggest accomplishment was when they were shown on ESPN's Sportscenter and Baseball Tonight. They were also on the Fan Appreciation Day giveaway and the Phillies program in 2002. Another appearance by Burrell's Bunch was on numerous Phillies DVD's commemorating the final season at Veterans Stadium. One feature that made their sign more unusual than other fan groups was that their sign had Pat Burrell's stats displayed on it. The Bunch as it was called by some was forced to retire when the Phillies moved to Citizens Bank Park in 2004.
