Biographical Information

Infielder Buddy Kennedy shares a birthplace with superstar OF Mike Trout and the two have since become close friends. He is also the grandson of former major league infielder Don Money, who was present when he made his debut with the Arizona Diamondbacks on June 17, 2022 against the Minnesota Twins. Starting at DH that day, Buddy did his grandpa proud, going 1 for 3 with a walk in a 7-2 win, the hit coming in the 5th inning off Devin Smeltzer.

He was originally drafted by the Diamondbacks in the 5th round of the 2017 amateur draft, out of Millville Senior High School, which Trout also attended.
