Biographical Information[edit]
Bud Metheny was the baseball coach at Old Dominion University from 1948 to 1980. He also coached basketball (1948-1965) and served as athletic director (1963-1970) at ODU. Before ODU, Metheny taught algebra and was basketball coach at South Norfolk High School.
Metheny also spent 1948 as manager of the Baxley Red Sox and part of 1950 as manager of the Newport News Dodgers.
