Buchner Gold Coin

Buchner Gold Coin baseball cards were an 1887 pastel baseball card set. The cards seem to almost have a love-hate relationship among collectors, due to the fact that the players are not overly detailed and the same poses are repeated, with the only differences between most of the cards being players wearing different uniforms and the addition or removal of facial hair. The cards got a bit of a bad reputation and were often referred to as "generic" even by collectors of the time too.
