Biographical Information

Bryan Penalo pitched in one game for the New York Federals in the Canadian-American Association in 2011, registering the win in one inning of work. He had gone 1-1 with a 6.05 ERA as a college freshman, 1-0 with a 9.72 ERA as a sophomore and 1-0 with a 7.04 ERA as a junior. That made him 3-1 with a 7.54 ERA after 35 college games with 58 walks in 51 1/3 IP. He made big strides as a senior in 2011, going 1-1 with a team-best 2.43 ERA, allowing only 24 hits in 37 innings while striking out 37 (still a bit wild, he walked 26).
