Biographical Information[edit]

Bryan Dumesnil pitched in the minor leagues from 2002 to 2012.

Dumesnil was signed initially by the Los Angeles Dodgers. He debuted as a pro in 2002 with the GCL Dodgers, going 5-1 with a 2.87 ERA in 20 games. In 2003, he was 1-0 with a 8.05 ERA for the Ogden Raptors, walking 21 but striking out 24 in 19 innings. In 2004, Bryan went to the Baltimore Orioles chain. He split time between the Bluefield Orioles (1-1, 1 Sv, 4.15, 28 K in 26 IP) and the Aberdeen Ironbirds (1-0, 4.32 in 4 G). He was with Aberdeen for all of 2005 and had a 1-3, save, 5.06 record, allowing 38 hits in 26 2/3 IP.

In 2006, Dumesnil signed with the independent Les Capitales de Québec and saved one game, allowing 3 runs in 15 innings. He began 2007 back with the Capitales and was excellent in his first 17 games (2-0, 5 Sv, 0.57). Bryan's performance earned him interest from Organized Baseball and he joined his 4th organization by inking a deal with the Atlanta Braves. He pitched for their Rome Braves (1 R in 4 1/3 IP) and Myrtle Beach Pelicans (1-1, 2.89, 19 K in 18 2/3 IP) farm clubs.

The British Columbian hurler spent 2008 with Myrtle Beach (3-0, 12 Sv, 24 H, 53 K in 38 IP, 1.18) and the Mississippi Braves (2-1, Sv, 14 K in 16 1/3 IP). He was on Canada's preliminary roster for the 2009 World Baseball Classic.
