Biographical Information[edit]
Bryan Aughney has been a college coach.
Aughney helped Dawson Community College reach the 2001 NJCAA World Series then was an All-Conference outfielder at Northland College. In 2005-2006, he was hitting coach of the Wisconsin Woodchucks. He was assistant coach at Northland College (2006), Bellevue University (2007) and the University of Texas at Brownsville (2008). He was then promoted to head coach at Brownsville, going 28-31 in 2009, 31-24 in 2010 and 35-26 in 2011. In each of those three seasons, they set a new school record for wins during their time in the NAIA. UT Brownsville dropped its baseball program after the 2012 season, and Aughney became coach at Harlingen High School.
He then returned to the college ranks as head coach of Our Lady of the Lake University in 2018, going 73-64 his first three years. He remained through 2022 then became head coach of Harlingen South High School.
