Biographical Information[edit]
Brian Giles played six years in the major leagues, and is not to be confused with the later Brian Giles. This Brian hit 2 home runs including a grand slam and drove in 7 runs on May 17, 1990 as a member of the Seattle Mariners against the Toronto Blue Jays. The home runs were hit off Jimmy Key and Frank Wills. Giles played one year as an everyday player in 1983 with the New York Mets. He hit .245 with 2 homers and 27 RBI's that year and had 17 stolen bases.
Giles was a coach for the Fort Wayne Wizards in 2000 and Lake Elsinore Storm in 2001.
He is the grandson of Negro leagues player George Giles.
