Biographical Information[edit]

Brian Denman, a pick in the secondary phase of the January 1982 amateur draft, came to the majors with the Boston Red Sox in 1982 and won three games.

He had gone 15-3 in the minors in 1981 after having a 36-15 record during his first three minor league seasons. During 1982 in the minors, he was 10-4. 1982 was also the rookie year for Wade Boggs, who had previously been a teammate of Denman's at a couple of minor league stops.

Brian had been at the University of Minnesota from 1975 to 1977 along with Paul Molitor.
