Biographical Information[edit]
The son of Marcel Lachemann and nephew of Rene Lachemann and Bill Lachemann, Bret Lachemann pitched in the California Angels' chain in 1990-1991. In 1990, Bret pitched for the AZL Angels, managed by his uncle Bill.
From 1993 to 1996, Lachemann coached at Don Lugo High School. In 1996-1997, he was the pitching coach at Diamond Bar High School, and from 1998 to 2002 assistant coach at Fullerton College. He returned to Diamond Bar as pitching coach in 2003 and was pitching coach at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona in 2004. In 2005 he was pitching coach at American River College and held the same position with Sacramento City College in 2006. He was the head baseball coach at Del Oro High School from 2007-2010. In 2011 he again became an assistant coach at Cal Poly-Pomona, staying through 2015.
