Biographical Information[edit]
Brent Leach had Tommy John surgery before transferring from University of Southern Mississippi to Delta State University. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 6th round of the 2005 amateur draft. Leach, who also has hyperhidrosis (sweating excessively and unpredictably), was signed by scout Dennis Moeller and made his pro debut that summer.
Leach's brother, Brian Leach, played in the Pittsburgh Pirates farm system.
