Pitcher Brailyn Marquez was the 209th and final player to make his debut during the abbreviated 2020 season, doing so on the final day of the regular season, September 27th, for the Chicago Cubs against the Chicago White Sox. It did not go so well, however, as he gave up 5 runs on 3 walks and 2 hits in two-thirds of an inning, and also uncorked 2 wild pitches; he did strike out one batter. However, while Márquez was the last man to make his debut in the regular season, three more players joined the rolls in the postseason.
