Bradford Beagles

From BR Bullpen

In 1957 the PONY League was renamed the New York-Penn League and the club in Bradford, PA changed names as well, from the Bradford Yankees to the Bradford Beagles. They drew 1,700 fans and were managed originally by Chip Shapiro, who was replaced by Earl Johnson on May 15. The Beagles only went 5-15 and were outscored 103-75. They folded on May 23 and five days later were replaced by the Hornell Redlegs, who took on the team's players for the most part.
