Biographical Information[edit]

Boubakar Guaye played in the French Division I.

Guaye was in the French minors from 2005-2009, hitting .356 in 2008 and .406 in 2009. In 2010, he signed with the Savigny-sur-Orge Lions. He hit only .188/.261/.213 in 30 games in France's top league (then known as Division Elite rather than Division I). Starting in right in the 2010 European Cup, he batted .214/.267/.357 including a two-run triple off Luca Martignoni. The European Baseball and Softball Federation site for the event accidentally listed him as Guyae rather than Guaye.

For the Lions in 2011, he produced at a .253/.325/.333 clip with 17 runs in 19 games and batted .375/.444/.500 in the Challenge de France. He fell to .133/.200/.178 in reduced time for Savigny in 2012 then played in the French minors in 2013 and 2015.
