Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose name is often shortened to just Bosnia, is a country in central Europe. It was part of Yugoslavia before its break-up in the early 1990s, and most of the fighting that ensued took part on its territory. Contrary to neighbor Croatia, there is little baseball played in Bosnia, and most of its links to baseball are some American or Australian players who have distant Bosnian origins.
