Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Boris Zavarsky played on occasion in the French minor leagues on-and-off from 2004-2013, hitting .377/.453/.514 with 12 steals in 17 games. [1] In the 2011 Pacific Games, he backed up Rémi Couarraze at 3B for the New Caledonia national team. In his lone game, he manned third when Couarraze pitched against the eventual champion Northern Mariana Islands. He was hit by an Elton Santos pitch his first time up, but was picked off. He later grounded out and struck out against Santos. He had 3 errors, 2 putouts and 2 assists to tie for 8th in the event in errors. [2]
