Biographical Information[edit]

Bobby Moore was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 29th round of the 1984 Amateur Draft from Purcell Marian High School, but opted to attend college instead. Three years later the Kansas City Royals drafted him in the 16th round of the 1987 Amateur Draft from Eastern Kentucky University and he played in their minor league system for several years. Moore made his major league debut on September 5, 1991 and appeared in 18 games for the Royals that month. After the season the Royals traded Moore to the Atlanta Braves and he played in their minor league system through 1996.

Moore stayed with the Braves organization in 1997 to begin his coaching career.

Moore was slated to be the GCL Braves hitting coach in 2020 before COVID-19 shut down the minor league season. In 2024 he was initially listed as a coach, but took over hitting coach duties at some point.
