Biographical Information[edit]
Bob Smith had one career complete game. It came on May 20, 1958 for the Boston Red Sox against the Cleveland Indians. He gave up 1 run, 3 hits, walked 9 and struck out 5. The Red Sox won, 6-1.
Also called "Riverboat Smith", he pitched for the University of Missouri and then was in professional ball for thirteen years. He was a farmer from 1953 to the time of his death and also ran Bob Smith Feedlot Systems. He died as a result of a tractor accident.
