Biographical Information[edit]

In 1989, Bob Shirley played for the Orlando Juice of the Senior Professional Baseball Association. He went 6-6 in 16 starts for the club.

Shirley was the manager of the St. Catharines Blue Jays in 1989 and pitching coach of the Syracuse Chiefs in 1990.

Shirley is only the second major leaguer born in Cushing, OK. The first was Paul Blair. Shirley won Gold with Team USA at the 1974 Amateur World Series.

Shirley once listed his favorite hobby as "watching Bill Murray movies".
