Biographical Information[edit]
Bob Ottesen spent four years in the St. Louis Browns minor league system, playing from 1949 to 1952.
With the Aberdeen Pheasants in 1949, he batted .296 in 52 games. He batted .245 in 123 games for the Pittsburg Browns in 1950 and in 1951, with the same team, he hit .288 with 10 triples and 13 home runs in 122 games. His career ended after he hit .219 in 89 games for the Anderson Rebels in 1952. Overall, he batted .259 with 19 home runs in 386 games.
