Biographical Information[edit]

Pawtucket Red Sox pitcher Bob Ojeda was the winning pitcher in the Longest game in baseball history, in which he was Pawtucket's 8th hurler. He relieved Bruce Hurst in the top of the 33rd inning and pitched one inning.

In 1988 the part of one of his fingers was cut off in a gardening accident. He was again seriously injured in a boating accident in Florida during spring training in 1993. His teammates Steve Olin and Tim Crews were killed in the accident.
