Biographical Information[edit]
Bob Klinger pitched 20 seasons in organized ball from 1929 to 1950, eight in the Major Leagues and 12 in the minors, losing two years to the military. He entered the U.S. Navy on April 9, 1944 to serve in World War II and was discharged on December 11, 1945 (BN).
He pitched for the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Boston Red Sox. He was killed in an automobile accident at age 69 and is buried at Allenton Cemetery in Allenton, MO.
