Biographical Information

Bob Gates was a college coach.

Gates coached baseball, basketball and football at Holy Name High School from 1950-1960. He was assistant baseball and basketball coach at the University of Nebraska from 1961-1965 then was baseball and basketball coach at Pershing College from 1966 until it closed in 1971. He was a baseball and football assistant at Nebraska, then guided the University of Nebraska at Omaha baseball team from 1977-1999; he was one win shy of the Division II World Series a couple times.
