Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Bob Fannin was drafted out of junior college in 1981 by the Texas Rangers before moving on to Lubbock Christian College. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 18th round of the 1983 amateur draft by the San Francisco Giants. He was signed by the Philadelphia Phillies in 1984, playing one season with the Bend Phillies, hitting .222/.352/.244 as the backup to Ray Ortega.
Fannin returned to Lubbock Christian as an assistant coach. He became head coach at Trinity Christian High School in 2001-2002 and Midland Christian High School in 2003. He returned to Lubbock Christian again from 2004 to 2019. He was then at Vernon College in 2020 before moving to Rogers State University in 2021.
