Biographical Information[edit]
Bob Bellizzi was a college coach.
Bellizzi founded the College of Saint Rose baseball program in 1979 and served as its head coach until his death in 2006 after a ten-year battle with leukemia. He took the team to the 1990 NAIA College World Series and 2000 Division II College World Series. He was 778-458-2 and won several Coach of the year honors. He also taught social sciences at Albany (NY) High School for over 25 years. He was also president of the Amsterdam Mohawks and the New York Collegiate Baseball League.
