Biographical Information[edit]

Bo Hart was a shooting star who quickly fizzled for the St. Louis Cardinals in 2003.

Hart was called up on June 19th when Miguel Cairo broke his hand. He immediately started hitting. In his first game he had a double and a triple in three at bats. He had two four-hit games in his first ten. After ten games, he was hitting .460. In fact, his batting average stayed above .400 until his 16th major league game. Hart stayed in the lineup for the rest of the season but his hot hitting never returned and he finished the season at .277.

The following season, 2004, he was sent to the Memphis Redbirds after spring training. He briefly was recalled in April. He was sent down on April 29th and never returned to the majors after that.

Bo Hart later was the starting second baseman for the Lancaster Barnstormers in the Atlantic League.
