Blackwell Cubs

From BR Bullpen

The first professional baseball team in Blackwell since 1926, the Blackwell Cubs of 1952 went 57-69-1, finishing fifth in the six-team K-O-M League. Managed by Al Reitz, the club was second in the league in attendance (51,000) despite being outscored 787-696, tying for the league lead in runs allowed. Joe Adametz (13-9, 3.33) had a decent year, but there were far notable performances and no future big-league regulars.
