Biographical Information

Although injured, Billy Percibal was called up to the Major Leagues and placed on the active roster by the Baltimore Orioles on September 21, 1995. He had undergone surgery to remove bone spurs from his elbow just two days prior. As a result, he did not play in the majors that season, then missed all of 1996 with an arm injury. He was no longer a top prospect when he returned to action in 1997 and retired after the season.
